Arts Alive is proud to support non-profit arts-based projects. Our organization provides fiscal sponsorship and mentoring to start-up nonprofit partners. This allows organizations that are making the journey towards nonprofit status to utilize our 501(c)3 status to raise tax deductible donations. These are the projects currently in our program.

Incubated Projects

Gail Somers - project leader of the Keene Multicultural Center

Keene Multicultural Center

a multi-cultural community center that serves and supports a diverse population of locals and surrounding area residents to build community with new residents to the area through the creation of a welcoming space that connects them with economic and cultural resources.

 

heritage craft documentary

This feature-length documentary will tell the story of New England through the vehicle of traditional Heritage Crafts and of the people who make them, highlighting the vital role they play in the preservation of cultural heritage and the sustainability of global resources.

NH Arts Learning Network

The NH Arts Learning Network is a collaborative of individuals, organizations and groups with a common interest in arts education, working to support quality arts learning for all students in New Hampshire by sharing information, resources and services. It hosts the Arts in Education Conference to support arts educators other teachers that want to integrate or support arts learning in the classroom.

 

Friends of Public Art

Friends of Public Art (FPA) contributes to the historic, social, cultural and economic vitality through the creation of public art installations. FPA will implement art projects that are open to the public at no charge but does have a cost to create, engage the community, and ensure a broad audience.

 
 

NH Poet Laureate

This project’s goal is to help poets across the state increase their writing confidence, enjoyment, and success. One of the project’s current areas of focus is to provide teen editors leadership opportunities in the arts. The project is lead by Alexandria Peary, New Hampshire Poet Laureate through 2023.

With Arts Alive’s fiscal sponsorship, this project will publish 2-3 issues of Under the Madness Magazine, including at least 1 more international (or immigrant-focused) special issue; sponsor 3-5 judged contests in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction; host 5-7 online readings and workshops for youth writers from around the globe; and identify the student recipient of the Jack & Hannah McCarthy Scholarship.

Nova Arts

Nova Arts Block is a collaborative arts initiative focused on emerging artists, underrepresented voices, and unexpected juxtapositions. We present and partner with creative individuals, organizations, and ideas

 

NSquared Dance

NSquared Dance is a contemporary dance company serving New Hampshire and the Northern part of New England, providing dance performances, conversations, outreach classes, and master classes to combine the community into the arts through dance. NSquared Dance strives to energize audiences through movement; enhance creativity, artistry, passion, and drive of youth and aspiring dancers; and enlighten the community about the importance of performing arts education and to further its integration into our everyday lives.

 

Viva Bach Peterborough

The mission of this project is to celebrate the music of J.S. Bach via an annual Bach Festival during the beautiful month of October in Peterborough, New Hampshire! The inaugural year was in 2022. 2023 festival activities will include concerts of professional musicians and concerts where community members can perform and engage, and more.

The Art Table is a place where community members can pick up free art projects, kits, and supplies to do at home. These are great for kids, families, and anyone who wants to get creative and work with their hands.

 

Read Listen Write Festival

We believe in the power of the written word, in all its forms, to entertain, uplift, and connect people across cultures. Unlike most literary festivals, which serve essentially and vitally as industry conferences for people already familiar with the literary arts, READ LISTEN WRITE festival integrates world-class literary-related performances with community writing opportunities.

Ashuelot Concerts was created to enrich our community by making world-class, live music available to all. Music heals; it challenges; it stretches our brains and it touches even those who are least expecting it. It brings people together in a unifying and uplifting shared experience. We are setting out to remove the barriers that prevent people engaging with this incredible music.

The Magical History Tour

The Magical History Tour is a local non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing historic downtown Keene, NH by funding and maintaining 12-15 originally designed large outdoor murals, which showcase the culture and history of the region. Once completed the Magical History Tour, a self-guided walking tour through historic Keene, will be used to promote our town and the region.

A makerspace is a gathering point for people to share resources and knowledge, work on projects, network, and build businesses. MAXT Makerspace has 10,000 square feet of offices, studio spaces and dedicated workshops for woodworking, metal working, jewelry, textiles, printmaking, laser cutting, 3D printing and more.

 

Monadnock International Film Festival

Named as "Up and Coming Film Fest" by New Hampshire Magazine, the Monadnock International Film Festival (MONIFF) showcases high quality independent cinema every April for three days in the beautiful Monadnock Region, known for its vibrant arts culture and Mt. Monadnock, one of the world's most climbed mountains. MONIFF features award-winning films on the festival circuit, both domestic and foreign, along with premieres of regionally produced films by New Hampshire and New England filmmakers. The highlight of the festival every year is the presentation of the Jonathan Daniels Award, given to a filmmaker whose work fuses social and/or political awareness with artistic excellence, and encompasses Jonathan Daniels courage by telling stories of hope, redemption, and the triumph of the human spirit.
